چکیده
Background and aims: Primary hypertension, an unexplained increase in blood pressure (BP), accounts for 90% of the cases hypertension remains a critical public health challenge. This study aimed to investigate effects 12-week resistance training (RT) on some vasodilators vasoconstrictors hypertensive men. Methods: is semi-experimental study. A total 40 middle-aged men (45.3±3.2 years) with moderate (systolic BP [SBP] 140.5±0.3 diastolic [DBP] 90.7±0.0 mm Hg) were randomly divided into RT (n=20) non-exercise control groups. The dynamic program was performed at intensity 80% one repetition maximum 3 days per week (3 sets 8 repetitions/3 week). Blood samples taken from both groups baseline weeks 4, 8, 12. Results: SBP DBP decreased by -8.19±2.46 Hg (P=0.039) -1.19±0.02 (P=0.033) 12 group, respectively, compared group (SBP; 8.22±2.49, P=0.04; DBP; -1.19±0.03, P=0.032). Adiponectin, apelin, atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), paraoxonase-1 (PON-1) serum levels increased (P=0.01) (P=0.01), while endothelin-1 (ET-1) H2 O2 comparison group. Conclusion: Overall, led ANP, PON-1, adiponectin. Increasing these markers reduces ET-1, thus decreasing

The Effect of Resistance Training on Plasma Levels of Endothelin 1 and Blood Pressure in Older Men
Introduction: Endothelin 1, which is secreted by vascular endothelial cells, has been identified as the most potent vasoconstrictor. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a course of endothelin-1 plasma resistance training and its relationship with blood pressure in older men. Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 30 elderly men (mean age 62.28 ± 8.08 years, height 17...

متن کاملEffect of 8 week resistance training on adiponectin, Insulin resistance, insulin sensivity and HbA1c levels in overweight men
Introduction Physical activity is the most important factors of energy consumption in humans. Since energy absorption can regulated the adiponectin expression positively or negatively. Also, altering energy consumption with exercise may affect the adiponectin levels. Therefore, the present study aimed to the effect of 8 weeks resistance training on adiponectin, insulin hemostasis and HbA1c lev...

Background: Hypertension is the third risk factor for the cardiovascular diseases. This study investigated the effects of mineral water from Damavand spring on the blood pressure and serum lipid profiles in men with hypertension. Methods: In this study 41 hypertensive men were randomly assigned to Damavand mineral water (DM) and Tehran water groups (TW). The DM and TW received 1.5-liter bottle ...
